Community

At Eltherington, we have a clear sense of purpose: to provide unbeatable customers services, deliver our business and environmental objectives and create jobs by operating a strong, sustainable business.

There is also another side to Eltherington that we don’t always hear about and indeed, it mostly happens behind the scenes.

It is, of course, our community and charitable activities. That is the important area of giving something back. In that sense, the way we do business at Eltherington is as much about how we support our communities and society generally as it is about delivering our internal targets.

As such we have been a long-term supporter of both local and national charities, including those focussing on the most needy in our society. We donate to a number of these charities on an ongoing basis, and support staff in any charitable activities they undertake.

We select charities based on those nominated by staff and their families.

Etherington’s is excited to be a part of the UK Government’s Northern Forest initiative, which aims to plant 50 million trees between Hull and Liverpool. We are honored to have been accepted onto this ambitious plan and are looking forward to making our contribution to the project.
